Navin R. Bora
Navin Bora’s practice focuses primarily on preparation and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications with a focus on chemical engineering, mechanical, and semiconductor technologies.
Mr. Bora has particular experience in liquid surgical sealants and bandages, automotive interior components, oilfield operations, optics, orthodontic appliances, track pads, semiconductor fabrication, automobile turbochargers, vehicle airbag inflators, power industrial tools, medical devices, and precision rotary cutting blades.
Mr. Bora received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Chemical Engineering, cum laude, from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor along with a Minor in Economics. During college, he worked as a co-op engineer at a leading specialties chemicals manufacturer in the areas of process control and plant effluent stream analysis. Upon graduation, he worked as an operations technology engineer for a leading steel producer where he assisted with a variety of technical projects, including the development of sophisticated metal alloy recovery models to optimize production efficiency and the implementation of advanced steel level detection devices. Mr. Bora later received his J.D., with a certificate in Intellectual Property, from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology.
Prior to joining WAVS IP, Mr. Bora was affiliated with a boutique intellectual property law firm located in Chicago and also served as a U.S. patent attorney for a Japan-based patent and trademark office where he assisted prominent Japan-based clients prepare and prosecute patent applications bound for filing before the USPTO.
Mr. Bora is conversational in Assamese. He is also a sports and competition automobile enthusiast.
